Navigating Complex and Shifting Market Conditions – Stories from the Road
Mike Watts is President, Office Investor Leasing in the Americas. In this role, Mr. Watts primarily focuses on Office and ensures CBRE’s Investor Leasing product is differentiated from the competition. He works closely with Industrial and Retail leadership to ensure a consistent Investor Leasing service delivery model for clients across all product types, as well as with Americas Advisory leaders in Property Management, Capital Markets, Project Management, Valuations and Client Care to provide investors with a holistic portfolio strategy that delivers unmatched client outcomes.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Watts served as President of the Midwest at Transwestern and oversaw the company’s national agency leasing business development platform. Before joining Transwestern, Mr. Watts was with J.F. McKinney and Associates, where he oversaw the leasing of the 1.5 million-sq.-ft. Hyatt Center development in Chicago and repositioned several high-profile projects in Downtown Chicago. Before that, he worked for LaSalle Partners, where he served as the downtown regional leasing director.

Charles Williams is a Vice Chairman with Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Denver office.
Prior to joining Newmark, Williams served as Senior Vice President with KeyBank Real Estate Capital in Denver, where he managed a team of mortgage bankers responsible for all of the bank’s multifamily loan production in the central and southeast regions. Him and his team closed more than $5 billion in debt over seven years with an emphasis on agency lending (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA), life company placements and CMBS. Previously, he was responsible for all permanent multifamily loan production for KeyBank’s Rocky Mountain-based clients. He began his career with KeyBank as a balance sheet banker at the firm’s Cleveland headquarters.
Prior to joining KeyBank, Williams was with Realty Funding Group L.L.C., a Denver-based real estate acquisition and investment banking company. He also worked with Studley’s Capital Markets Group, in New York and Denver, where he was responsible for the negotiation and restructuring of more than 1 million square feet of office space
